Belotero® is a dermal filler used to temporarily smooth out and fill in wrinkles. As we age, we lose hyaluronic acid in the skin. Belotero® restores hyaluronic acid, resulting in more volume, less pronounced wrinkles, and a younger looking face. Belotero® can treat subtle forehead wrinkles, frown lines, crow’s feet, and smile or laugh lines.

Belotero® is one of the lightest fillers available and is used for fine lines as well as hollow areas underneath the eyes and a loss of volume along the cheeks. The skin around the eyes and mouth is thin and fragile and will benefit from a thinner facial filler that does not cause bumps or unevenness.

A topical anesthetic will be administered to alleviate any discomfort. Belotero® is administered through a fine needle. The entire procedure should take less than 30 minutes and patients can immediately return to normal activities. You will notice smoother wrinkles and lines immediately and full results can be seen in several weeks. Side effects are minimal and include redness, swelling, or bruising. Results last approximately 6 months and Belotero® can be repeated to maintain results.
